Samsung VRT Steam washer you may have experienced some problems with it. Not because this is a particularly bad machine but because as with any other technology, from time to time, things do go wrong. Sometimes it is because you have done something wrong, other times it is because the machine itself is failing, regardless of what the reason is he can be very frustrating when you get an error code and you do not know what it means, what caused it, and how to fix it. But do not worry, whether you have gotten any error codes in the past (or, indeed, if you are just dealing with one of them right now) or if you want to be prepared for a time when you would almost inevitably get an error code, we are here to help you. In this article, we will go through all the possible error codes that affect the Samsung VRT steam washerone by one. We will not only explain to you why did each of those error codes mean, but also what you will need to do in order to fix them.

Even though the Samsung VRT steam washer is really a very good machine, there are quite a few errors that may come up.

Error codes nd, 5E

If you get any of those two error codes it means that your washer is no longer able to drain. You will probably notice that within about 15 minutes your Samsung washer stops draining. If that happens to you and you are getting one of those to our codes what you should do is, firstly, verify if there is any restriction or, perhaps a clog in the drain path. If there is anything obstructing the drain you should remove whatever it is and that should fix the problem. If you notice that the drain pan has become damaged or, for whatever reason, since clearly defective you should head to a store and buy a new one. Error code LO, dE, dE1

If you get any of these error codes it means that the door of the washer is not locking correctly. In fact, the problem, as you will probably notice even if you do not check the error codes, would be that the door your Samsung washer remains locked and, try estimate, you would be unable to unlock it. If you do get this error you should try to unlock the door several times manually. But, before you attempt to do this you should always unplug the washer. Then try to open the door a few times and do not be afraid of using force. After all, what matters is that you are able to open the door and remove your laundry from the machine. Even if this means damaging the door you would have to do it. The worst case scenario after you have managed to open the door would be that you need to replace either the door lock or the whole switch assembly and the electronic control board.

Error Codes nF, 4E

What causes either of these two errors is a problem with water filling. You would normally get one of these two error codes on one of the two possible scenarios. The first scenario would be that the washer fills water for about 40 minutes. The second scenario is that the water level remains exactly the same after six minutes period. If you get one of these error codes the first thing you will need to do is to check the faucets behind the washer. You will need to make sure that these facets, which supply the water to the machine, are open. If they are not fully open, this may very well be what is causing the problem. If the faucets are open, however, then you should check for any possible kinks, or freezing conditions, or check the water valves. If there is no freezing or any other kinks and the faucets are open, then the problem probably is that you would need to change the water valves. But because this will take effort and money it is always worth checking if the problem is not the faucets or the fill lines.

Error codes FL, dE, dE1

If there is a problem locking the door, then you should get one of these three errors. Try to lock the door several times and if you are still unable to do so after more than five different at times then you should check the door lock. Before checking the locks you should, first of all, unplug the washer. Then check the wiring connections. It may be necessary for you to either replace the door lock or the switch assembly. But only do that if you notice any problems with those parts after you have attempted to lock the door a few times.

Error code LE

This error code only means one thing and that is that there is a problem with the water level. When you get this error code it means that the water level has dropped way below the reset level. This tends to happen either during the rinse or the wash cycles. If you get this error the first thing you will need to do is to check the drain system. If you notice any problem you might need to reinstall the tub or some of the hoses.

Error codes IE, 1IE

These two error messages mean that there is a problem with the water level sensor. The first thing you will need to do if you get this error is to unplug the washer straightaway. Then you should check all the connections that go from the control board and the water level sensor. You may either need to replace the water level sensor or just fix the connections.

Error codes OE

This error message indicates a problem with the water overflow. It only means one thing: that there is an overflow. If you get this error code you should check the water valves. You might need to replace them if they are faulty. If there is nothing wrong with them, then it would most likely mean that there is a problem with the water level sensor and you need to replace it.

Error dc, UE

These two errors mean that there is a problem with the load. Normally, you would get this error if during the final spin the load becomes unbalanced. There are basically two things that you can do when you get one of these errors: one of them would be to simply cancel the cycle, the other one would just be to let it finish. Then try to balance the load and check if this makes a difference. If this does not make any difference, then you might have to check the suspension system for defective parts.

E2, bE2

These errors mean that the control panel key has become stuck. Simply try to and unstuck it and, if you cannot, you might need to change the interface board with a new one.

ds

This error code indicates that when you trying to lock the door remains open. You should just check the switch assembly and the doorlock and if you notice they are defective you should replace them.

tE, TE1

These two arrows indicate that the water temperature is either too high or too low. If you get One of these two errors you should go into a diagnostic test to check the water temperature. You might need to change the temperature sensor for a new one.

3E

This error occurs when there is no signal being transmitted from the tachometer. Simply unplug your washer and check all the wire harness connections. If the connections are all fine then you might need to change the tachometer.

Hr

This error indicates a problem with the heater relay. If you get this error you should unplug the washer and wait for at least five minutes, then re-said the electronic control board, and finally plug in your washer. If the problem persists, then you will need to get a new electronic control board.

nF1, 4E2

These two errors mean that somehow you are hot and cold water connections have become reversed. Unplug the washer and connect them correctly.

2E

This error happens when the internal control board fails. If you get it, you should unplug the washer and wait for at least five minutes before plugging it back in. In the meantime reset the control board. If the problem persists, as with the error code Hr, you should replace the electronic control board.

Sud, SUd

And surprisingly these error codes indicate that there is just too much suds. The solution for this is using a better detergent.

AE

This error indicates that the electronic control board is not communicating correctly with the user interface board. Just check the harness connections. If they are fine you may need to change one or both The interface board or the electronic control board.
